On November 18th, 2021, Chinese Academy of Engineering announced the results of new added academician. Editorial board member of Marine Life Science & Technology (MLST), Songlin Chen, was elected as an Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Academician Songlin Chen works as the director of division of genetic resources and breeding in Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute (YSFRI), Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (CAFS). He is the chief scientist of aquatic biotechnology of CAFS, director of Key Laboratory for Marine Fishery Biotechnology and Genetic Breeding of Shandong Province, vice director of Laboratory for Marine Fisheries Science and Food Production Processes, Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (Qingdao), His research findings were awarded as second prize of National Award for Technological Invention in 2014 (ranked first), second prize of National Science and Technology Progress (ranked second). More than 330 papers were published, among which 190 papers (first author or corresponding author) are indexed by SCI database. All the papers were cited more than 3623 times. He also serves as editorial member of Marine Biotechnology, and Marine Life Science & Technology.
